Terms of Service

By using MySecondAct at mysecondact.io (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. These constitute a binding agreement between you and MySecondAct, operated by Sayem Islam.

MySecondAct is an AI-powered job matching service that aggregates publicly available job listings, scores and ranks them against your profile using AI, and delivers curated matches via email and dashboard.

We do NOT guarantee employment, submit applications on your behalf, or act as a recruiting, staffing, or employment agency.

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into binding agreements to use the Service.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

The Service is paid monthly via Stripe. You authorize recurring charges until cancellation. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

5.1 Cancellation

You may cancel anytime via the Stripe billing portal in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued.

5.2 Refunds

A full refund is available within the first 7 days of your initial subscription by contacting support@mysecondact.io. After 7 days, subscriptions are non-refundable.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Share your account credentials with others
• Reverse-engineer the Service or its algorithms
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the Service
• Disrupt infrastructure or degrade performance
• Resell or redistribute Service content
• Submit false or misleading profile data
• Use the Service to harass or spam employers

The Service design, code, algorithms, and branding are owned by MySecondAct. Generated materials (matches, scores, cover letters, resume bullets, interview prep) are licensed for your personal use in job applications. You may not resell or commercially publish generated materials.

We aggregate publicly available job listings. MySecondAct is not affiliated with any job board, employer, or recruiter. We do not verify the accuracy, legitimacy, or availability of listings. Job listings may be removed or become unavailable at any time. We are not responsible for expired or filled positions that appear in your digest.

You are responsible for verifying opportunities independently. We comply with removal requests from job boards or employers.

The Service uses Claude by Anthropic to generate content. All AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and suggestion, not professional career advice. You should review and customize all materials before use. We make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or effectiveness. Match scores are algorithmic estimates, not guarantees.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; that matches will result in interviews or employment; or that third-party job data will be accurate.

MySecondAct shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Total liability is capped at the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MySecondAct from any claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or content you submit.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

We will post updates to these Terms and change the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MySecondAct.
